In September 2021, the Bhupat and Jyoti Mehta Family Foundation (MFF) and the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IITR) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to create a new Mehta Family School of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence. This is the fourth new school MFF has established in India, furthering MFF’s mission to develop new degree programs in data science, artificial intelligence, and bioengineering that will lead to new discoveries, new industries, and new jobs. News of the school, to be built on IITR’s main campus, garnered widespread media attention around the globe.
