MFF Establishes Fifth New School in India

On Saturday, May 14th, via a virtual signing event, the Mehta Family Foundation and IIT Guwahati agreed to create a new school specializing in Health Sciences and Technology. The new Jyoti and Bhupat Mehta School of Health Sciences and Technology is the 5th School funded by the Foundation. Over the past two years, the COVID pandemic has taught us the importance of Healthcare in our lives. The current heatwave in India is another reminder of how climate change directly impacts health. All these events underscore the importance of building new healthcare technologies to address the challenges of climate change. As a result, the Foundation is more committed to building intellectual talent in India for health technologies. With the three Health-care related schools and 2 Data Science and AI schools across IIT Madras, IIT Kanpur, IIT Roorkee, and IIT Guwahati, they will have a total enrollment of 1,400 students comprising 800 undergraduates, 200 masters, and 400 PhD students across all five schools.
